Wish List 7-9-11

While flipping through fashion inspiration this week I came upon many styles that I never would've picked out for myself. As I am getting older I am discovering my personal fondness for easy, pretty pieces instead of the sexy, teeny-bopper styles I have been choosing. My wish list has been getting extensive because now that I know my "style" I want to switch out all the clothes I have now for the one's I want :)

Now if only I can find that damn money tree...

Like moccasin's, ankle boots were a big trend last winter. I love incorporating items I already have into my current wardrobe...don't you! It's like finding money in a pocket in a pair of jeans that you haven't worn in months!

With all the country concerts coming up...(Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Sugarland, and Rascal Flatts) I thought I'd give you an outfit to wear to that event. This outfit is simple and easy to put together. You can pair with a messenger bag if running errands or leather clutch if going out with friends.

Moccasin's Remix

While flipping through some of my favorite blogs I saw this outfit and thought..."why didn't I think of that!?"

If you were lucky enough to have bought moccasin's last winter now is the time to pull them out! Pair them with some white capris and a slouchy tee for a lazy day outfit. You can also switch up the tee for a pinstriped menswear button up shirt that's tied at the waist.

Lawn seats...no problem!

I love how this outfit brings me to a different era of love and peace signs. I can literally see myself wearing this outift to an outdoor concert with a flower in my hair swaying back and forth to the music.

Making your LBD a casual must have

Utilizing every peice in your wardrobe is a must when your fashion funds are low. The little black dress is the perfect peice when you go clubbing with the girls, out to dinner with the hubby, or attending a cocktail party. But this peice can also be used as an everday go to item as well.

As you can see doing this can be very easy. Go to your closet and find a flowy cardigan and matching belt. You can belt the dress or place the belt over the cardigan to emphasize your waist. Add a pair of black sandals and delicate bracelets and your ready to face your day...errands and all :)

4th of July Weekend!

Happy 4th of July weekend! Boy was it a hot one outside today! 91 degrees and humid, so not the greatest of hair days. It seems every year for the 4th of July parade the weather is always the same. I prepared for the miserable conditions and wore a maxi dress. The non-constricting clothes along with pulling my hair up really saved me from sweating to death.

After the parade we all went back to my husband's parents' house and we couldn't get in the pool fast enough! The day was amazing and I couldn't have asked for more...except for it not to rain so we can go see fire works.

Do you ever have those days where you don't feel like getting "dressed up", but still want to feel put together? Today's outfit is just that, it has a California girl vibe.

I love this mix of colors! Orange is everywhere right now, especially when paired with green. The beautiful belt I would use with a white dress to cinch in the waist. And who doesn't love a great pair of flip flops :)
